Brining is like a secret weapon in the kitchen that can transform your chicken breast from boring to mouthwatering in just 15 minutes.

How to Brine Chicken Breast

Brining is not just reserved for special occasions like Thanksgiving. It’s a simple yet effective technique that can be used every day to elevate the flavor and texture of your chicken. Those who truly excel in the culinary world know that it’s the little extra steps, like brining, that make a big difference in the end result.

Just like how fresh rosemary tastes infinitely better than dried, brining chicken breast can take it from dry and rubbery to moist and delicious. It’s all about infusing the meat with extra liquid before cooking to ensure it stays juicy throughout the process.

While slow cookers are great for retaining moisture, brining adds an extra layer of juiciness that will have you questioning why you haven’t been doing it all along. And the best part? It only takes 15 minutes of your time!

For this recipe, I used small, boneless, and skinless chicken breasts, but feel free to adjust based on the size of your chicken pieces. The key is to ensure the brine has enough time to work its magic before cooking.

Speaking of brine, using Kosher salt is essential for the best results. Its larger grains make it easier to measure and control the amount of salt in your dish. I personally swear by Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt, which has 53% less sodium than table salt.

To brine the chicken, simply mix the salt in warm water, submerge the chicken, and let it sit for 15-30 minutes. Then rinse, pat dry, and get ready to experience tender, flavorful chicken like never before.

Smoked paprika adds a depth of flavor to the chicken, but it’s optional if you don’t have it on hand. The end result will still be a juicy, succulent piece of chicken that will have you wondering why you ever settled for dry meat.
